On Saturday, March 1, New Beginnings held a Black History Breakfast.
Along with delicious food, the event featured two guest speakers, Elder Delores Hawk and Sister Jessica Hawk, M.Ed. Elder Delores Hawk is a retired educator, and lived through the Civil Rights Movement. Sister Jessica Hawk has a Bachelor’s degree in History as well as a Masters in Special Education. They are both powerful public speakers and shared exciting Black History information.
The breakfast fundraiser began at 10 a.m. and was brought to you by our Sunday School Ministry. Tickets were $15 and purchased at Wednesday Night Bible Study and Sunday services.
For more information, contact Sister Sandra Hawk at contactnbmj@gmail.com.
